By[CANADA NEXT WEEK] The economic data calendar is quiet until the end
of the week with the major data not appearing until Friday. The first
data release will be Aug avg earnings and payroll employment on Thursday.
The pace picks up on Friday with Aug GDP and the September IPPI and RMPI.
GDP is expected to rise about 0.3% after falling -0.1% in July. BOC
Governor Carney will be giving Parliamentary testimony on the Bank's
Monetary Policy report on Tuesday and Wednesday, but it is unlikely that
he will say anything that has not already been said in the MPR or
subsequent news conference. There will also be a 2-year Canada bond switch
operation on Wednesday
